Remove an intimate image shared without consent
If an intimate image of you has been shared on actual.love without your consent, you can ask us to remove it here. We remove it within 48 hours of receiving a valid request.
1. What this page is for#
Under the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act, platforms must provide a way for people to request removal of non-consensual intimate images, and must remove them within 48 hours of a valid request. On actual.love, the only images members share are the optional photos exchanged within an introduction (see our Community Guidelines). This page is our notice-and-removal process.
2. What we remove#
An intimate image (including one that is AI-generated or altered) that shows you, or someone you are authorised to act for, and that was published without consent. Sharing sexual or intimate images of anyone is also against our Community Guidelines, and you can report any photo from the introduction card.
3. Make a removal request#
A valid request needs: a way to contact you, enough information for us to find the image, a statement that you are the person shown (or authorised to act for them) and believe in good faith the image was shared without consent, and your signature (typing your full name counts).
If the form does not work for you, email the same information to safety@actual.love with the subject "Image removal request".
4. What happens next#
- We remove the image within 48 hours of receiving a valid request, and make reasonable efforts to remove any known identical copies on actual.love.
- We may contact you at the email you gave if we need more information to find the image.
- We may suspend or close the account that shared the image, as described in our Community Guidelines.
- We use the information in your request only to handle it, keep members safe and meet our legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Other ways to get help#
- If you are in danger, call 911.
